Is something called Heroes 3. It was made by the unfortunately now defunct 3DO company, and released last millenium. At the time it was a sequel, of the extremely good Heroes 2 game, and purists argued it does not quite live up to it's predecessor. For about three months. Then everyone gave in to the obvious, this one sequel was quite an improvement.
It's a strategy game, set in a medieval land, turn based. You can play alone or with your friends, on the same computer or over a multitude of networks. I could go into detailed reviews here, but you can find those on the Internet already. Instead, I have decided to offer it to you for free download, here. You can make up your own mind. If you use Internet Exploder, please note that you WILL need a download manager. The file is ~400 Mb, and without a manager your download will die and you will restart it, and if you do, I will ban you. I object to having Craposoft waste my unlimited bandwidth. UPDATE 17.12.2006 : So looking through logs, I notice that a 360Mb file has been downloaded 14,793 times for a total of 2,588 Gb. This comes to about 175Mb per download. Either a bunch of you are using lossless 50% compression over the Internet (what a marvelous feat) or most of you are downloading without a manager, lose connection and keep restarting. Guess which of the two it is. So now, because you lazy fucks won't listen, and can't be bothered to behave, I had to sit and write a resume-able download script. Consequently, if your download dies, feel free to resume instead of restart. I hate you. The file you will download is an ace archive. If you don't know what that is, stand up, retrieve the boxes your computer was delivered in, pack it back in there and send it to a charity of your choice. Otherwise, extract it to an empty directory and run setupreg.exe. After which, you are ready to play. h3blade.exe. No, there are no viruses or other malware bits bundled. You may now proceed to your download : Heroes III The above software is offered as public domain, under my good faith belief that it does in fact constitute public domain. If you are the owner of any valid copyrights that you consider are being infringed, kindly contact me and I will remove the link. All trademarks belong to their respective owners, unless they don't. I'm not sure, ask someone else. My average score is about 1 . |
