French Comedy.

I'm kinda lazy. Or I don't feel like writing in human languages. Or I'm busy establishing a vast criminal empire inside a welcoming, unsuspecting, somewhat naive catholic country. In the meanwhile, you can delight yourself with a little French humour.

It's sad how unknown Louis de Funes is on that other side of the pond. Today we're looking at L'Aille ou la Cuisse (The Wing or The Leg, 1974), a sum-up of the finest French traditions, among them an exuberant preocupation with food quality, ellaborately constructed slapstick and a younger generation that's overweight, living with the parents way into it's 30's and dreaming of one day becoming full time clowns. They have a lot to learn, huh.

Where else could you become a member of the Academy simply for knowing your stuff in the kitchen ? Enjoy. (Yes, yes, it has english subtitles. Learn a language wouldja.)
